Building Awareness, Springing Action
Connecting passionate middle and high school students with environmental initiatives to create meaningful impact in our communities and advance sustainability goals.
We're building a team of highly motivated teens dedicated to helping our community achieve sustainability goals and developing greater awareness about environmental issues.
To empower the next generation of climate leaders by connecting passionate teens with environmental research institutes, transforming ideas into tangible, community-level action for a sustainable future.
This means bridging the gap between abstract environmental challenges and concrete, local solutions. Right now, vital research projects sit on shelves simply because there aren't enough hands to carry them out. In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a need for about 8,500 new environmental scientists each year, and we believe the next generation can start filling that gap today. By matching motivated students with these opportunities, we not only accelerate critical research but also bring those findings directly to our neighborhoods and help local small businesses adopt greener practices. This is how we make change possible. Because the climate crisis is at our doorstep, and without the next generation of thinkers, ideators and innovators coming together to tackle this urgent problem, the fight for a sustainable future will be forever lost.
That’s why it’s critical that we empower teens to pursue new research and bring fresh ideas to the table, and the Green Teen Force is dedicated to doing just that.
Three core programs driving environmental impact in our community
We connect talented local teens with structured research opportunities at a variety of organizations, from local environmental non-profits to major federal agencies like NOAA programs.
We aim to work with local small businesses to help them in implementing sustainable practices and market their "Green Commitment" to the community by raising awareness about the various incentives offered at local, state, and federal level.
We connect with local environmental organizations to enable volunteering oppurtunities for teens to engage the broader community with sustainable practices such as tree planting and recycling.
